What this means is that older Adobe software such as CS3 and Acrobat 8 can no longer be activated. But wait there is a solution. Don’t try talking to Adobe support as they don’t know their ass from their elbow and after telling you a list of steps to take (steps I’d just finished telling them I’d already taken without success before. Go to an online computer and navigate to www.adobe.com/go/getactivated for generating a response code. Click Generate a Response Code. On the Offline Activation screen, sign in using your Adobe ID and password. If you don't have an Adobe ID, then create one.
Follow these steps to install 'Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional' :
1. Double-click on the setup file.
2. Folow the instructions, and the installation will continue.
3. When asked to activate the product, choose 'More Activation Options' and 'Activate Over Phone'.
4. You will now be given an 'Activation Number / Authorisation Code'.
